About this package

What it does

Supplier risk review keeps your supplier register's risk ratings current. It runs whenever a row in the Suppliers data table is created, or updated with "Review requested" ticked, and fetches the supplier's financial score, cyber score, ESG flags and sanctions screening from your risk-intelligence provider.

The Supplier risk decision table combines those scores with the supplier's criticality and annual spend into a risk tier, a review cadence and a recommended action. The workflow writes the tier, scores and next review date back to the row and clears "Review requested", so its own update does not start another review. High and critical suppliers go to procurement as a User Task to accept the risk, agree a mitigation plan or plan an exit, with a five-day SLA; the business owner is told when the supplier is flagged and when it is decided.

Adapt the Supplier risk rules to your risk appetite, the reference to your provider's API, and the Suppliers columns to your register.

Event-driven

Starts when a row is created or updated in a data table (see What's included).

Starts when something changes: a data-table row is created or updated, or a task changes state.

The flow

Step by step

  1. 1

    Supplier added or flagged

A new Suppliers row, or an update with "Review requested" ticked, starts the review. Other updates end at once, which stops the workflow re-triggering itself.

  2. 2

    Get the risk rating

The risk-intelligence API returns financial and cyber scores, ESG flags and the sanctions screening result.

  3. 3

    Apply the risk rules

The Supplier risk decision table turns the scores, criticality and spend into a tier, a review cadence and a recommended action.

  4. 4

    Update the register

The tier, scores, last assessed and next review dates are written to the row and the review flag is cleared.

  5. 5

    Procurement review

High and critical suppliers go to procurement to accept, mitigate or exit, with the plan and next review date; the business owner is emailed.

Requirements

What you connect it to

Credentials never travel in a package. The install wizard asks for what your environment must provide, or installs it incomplete until you finish setup.

Needs

  • REST API — A REST API integration: set its base URL and credentials on install.
  • Assignees — People in your workspace to receive the User Tasks (picked on install).
  • Email — Email delivery configured for the instance (EMAIL_PROVIDER), used for notifications.

After installing

  1. Risk intelligence integration: set the base URL of your provider and an API token. Get supplier risk rating expects GET /risk-ratings/{supplier_id} returning financial.score, cyber.score, esg.flags and sanctions.match; adjust the path and response model in Integrations.
  2. Assignees: pick the procurement lead who reviews high-risk suppliers (runs can pass procurement_lead_id to route elsewhere).
  3. Edit the Supplier risk rules (score thresholds, criticality, spend) to your risk appetite and review cadences.
  4. Replace the sample rows in Suppliers with your suppliers, or import them. Tick "Review requested" on a row to re-assess it.
  5. Email: configure EMAIL_PROVIDER on the instance so business owners are told (the steps continue on error).

Install

Install it in your workspace

Works on UserTasks cloud and on any self-hosted instance. Installing creates the assets above; nothing runs until you complete setup and start it.

In the app

  1. Download supplier-risk-review-1.0.0.utpkg.
  2. Open Automations → Packages and drag the file onto the page (or choose Import package). Browse gallery there lists every gallery package without downloading by hand.
  3. Pick the file. The wizard verifies the checksum, every file hash and the signature, and shows the readme.
  4. Review the changes (what is created) and the data rows.
  5. Fill in the requirements, or tick Keep incomplete and finish later with Complete setup.
  6. Done: the workflow is published and active once setup is complete.

With the CLI

shell
curl -fLO https://usertasks.com/gallery/supplier-risk-review-1.0.0.utpkg
