Workflows

Sub-workflows, loops and parallel paths

Reuse workflows as steps, iterate over collections and run branches in parallel.

Call Sub Workflow

Call Sub Workflow runs another published workflow as a step. Map the parent's variables to the child's with input_mappings.

  • Sync (default): the parent waits; the child's final variables come back as results, with status and error.
  • Async: set the node's execution mode to async to start the child and continue immediately.

Use sub-workflows for shared steps such as "create vendor in ERP" or "notify approvers", so a fix lands in every workflow that uses it.

Loops

  • Loop For Each iterates items with {{item}} and {{index}} (rename them with item_var / index_var).
  • Loop N Times repeats count times with {{i}}.

Nodes connected to the loop's body edge run for each iteration; the other edge continues after the loop. Decision tables, references and data-table columns used inside a loop are read once per run, so loops of hundreds of iterations stay fast.

Parallel / Sequential

Parallel / Sequential runs two or more branches. In parallel mode they start together; in sequential mode one after another. The run continues once every branch has finished.

Go To Activity

Go To Activity jumps to another node, optionally resetting variables first — ideal for "send back for rework, then approve again" loops.
